About Our Organisation

AMWAG was established in AMWAG in 2019 and won an
award as the most successful and best African non-profit
awarded by Mshale News paper in the twin cities.

AMWAG promotes survivor-defined healing, liberation, and
equity by transforming the systems that impact survivors of
domestic and sexual violence and their families. We envision
a society where all people are free of systemic, collective, and
individual trauma.

History of the company

AMWAG work is guided by the experiences of domestic and
sexual violence survivors and their families and by an
intersectional analysis of how systems impact the lives of
survivors. AMWAG work addresses the realities faced by
marginalized communities and is aligned with the broader
anti-violence movement. AMWAG works in close partnership
with allied organizations committed to gender, racial,
economic, and social justice.

Executive Director

The executive Director manages the organization day today programs, sets strategies and visions for the running of the organization and pays attention to the companies culture

Communications Director

Manages the communication strategies, Funding development and coordination of sponsorship.

Stella Nyangito, APRN, PHN, FNP-BC, AMWAG Co- Founder and Case Manager

Dr. Stella Nyakundi, MA, MSN, RN, PHN.

Case Manager

She supervises and arranges social service programs, for the clients and handles referrals for those who need assistance. She also make follow ups on clients in need of help or maybe In an abuse state.

Operations Manager

she's in charge of day today operations and make sure AMWAG is in compliance by improving the organization performance.

Community Liaison

Helps remove and living in the community. She also facilitates negotiation processes and that can resolve conflicts that may arise in the community.

Our team is made up of seventeen advisory team members made of both men and women, who provide
current knowledge, critical thinking and do analysis to increase the confidence of the decision-makers
who present AMWAG.
